We’ve been very busy around here for the past two weeks. The giant rocks are gone, but have been replaced with the carcasses of a half dozen 50+-foot trees we had cut down. It made for great entertainment when Tino came over for my first-ever slumber party (see photo). Although the chainsaws and crashing trees were a big hit, the idea of sleeping away from home for the first time was not for Tino. He made it until 9:45 pm, and then his mommy came and got him.
Speaking of mommies, mine went away for a few days this week. Daddy and I aren’t exactly sure what she does when she goes away for work, only that she goes to the city where the President lives and does a lot of walking and talking while she’s there — all to help kids with CdLS. (You can read more about it at http://cdlsusa.wordpress.com/2007/07/27/taking-our-message-to-washington-in-comfy-shoes.)
The best things about mommy’s trips are that 1) daddy and I go up to grandma and papa’s camp and 2) mommy always brings me back a present. Unfortunately, she says, they don’t have “Hillary for President” t-shirts in my size at the airport.
