Maiden voyage

We set sail (figuratively speaking since we have no sail on our boat) on our boat for the first time this year. It was the perfect way to end a hot, muggy weekend.  We swam, we fished, mommy read and book with a cold beer. Good times all around.

A most athletic weekend

Two baseball games, a 5K race (I ran, mommy jogged, but she caught up with me and we crossed the finish line together) and the third annual Malloy Mother’s Day hike resulted in a whole lot of sore muscles in our house Monday morning.  Mommy says it also helped counter-act all the pasta and burgers we ate over the weekend.

Baseball is here

This year, I’m playing Minor League baseball. Not a lot of second graders made it to the Minors, but I did. It’s a lot of work–way more games and practices than the previous league. Also, in Minors the kids pitch not the grown-ups, so there’s  a lot of walking the bases and/or getting hit with a pitch.

Mommy is the unofficial, official photographer for our team. It’s a little embarassing for me having her running around with her giant camera around her neck, standing in garden beds while wearing heals just to get the perfect shot, but the kids thinks it’s cool.

One word: Awesome

That was the word I used continuously as we made our way through three Disney parks, one water park, and two islands during our eight day adventure in Orlando and Sanibel/Captiva, FL. Mommy says the picture below is the perfect reflection of the fun and adventure we had.  If you want to see more photos, including one of mommy with her first fish catch, go to http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=6298821007/a=33717368_33717368/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/.
